3.1 Zeffy (Payment Processing)
We use Zeffy as our third-party payment processing platform for online donations. When you make a donation, your payment information is collected, processed, and stored by Zeffy in accordance with their privacy policy and PCI Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). We do not have access to or store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors use our Site. - All donor information is maintained in a secure database with restricted access limited to authorized LAF personnel and agents who need the information to perform their duties.
- Donors may request at any time to be removed from our mailing list, to have their personal information updated or corrected, or to make their donation anonymous.
- We will honor donor requests for anonymity in all public recognition, publications, annual reports, and other materials.
- Any donor information disclosed to a third party will be subject to a confidentiality agreement or similar contractual obligation.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Legacy Athletic Fund is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Our Site is not directed at children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 without verified parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected Personal Information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information as promptly as possible. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your Personal Information, we will notify you and any applicable regulatory authority as required by law.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you may have certain additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). While nonprofit organizations are currently exempt from many CCPA provisions, Legacy Athletic Fund voluntarily extends the following rights to California residents as a matter of good practice:

9. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Donor Records: Donation records, including donor names, addresses, amounts, and dates, are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years in compliance with IRS record-keeping requirements for 501(c)(3) organizations.
- Tax Receipts and Acknowledgments: Copies of written acknowledgments for contributions of $250 or more are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years.
- Communication Records: Email and mailing list subscriptions are retained until you request removal or unsubscribe.
- Website Analytics Data: Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for historical reporting and trend analysis.
- Program Records: Information related to program participants is retained for the duration of the program and a reasonable period thereafter.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purposes described above, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
