“Build a better world by building better people who are empowered through better athletic achievement.”
Four Areas of Focus.
One Mission.
Legacy Athletic Fund is not a single program — it is a platform for change. Our T.E.R.E. framework operates across four interconnected pillars built on the foundation of our mission. Tap any pillar to learn more.
Graduate School for Football.
At the heart of LAF's player development mission is the Pro Cycle — a 32-day immersive program that makes athletes roster-ready while teaching them how to be a professional on and off the field. This is where Wilson County's investment in LAF makes a national impact.
- Intensive film study — learning HOW to study film
- Position coaching and football IQ development
- Strength, conditioning, and biometric analysis
- Live drills beginning Day 18 of each cycle
- Game-condition scrimmages on Days 24 and 30

Every Year, Hundreds of Players Fall Short.
Not for Lack of Talent.
The gap between college football and professional readiness is real — and almost entirely unaddressed. Players with legitimate NFL potential wash out every year because nobody taught them how to close the distance.
There has never been a comprehensive program to help incoming players overcome the skills gap between them and experienced professional athletes — until now. The holistic approach developed by LAF may be exactly what they need to succeed.

Building Athletes — and Character —
From the Ground Up.
LAF's mission extends beyond the professional pipeline. As implied within the name, Legacy Athletic Fund aspires to produce connections between the generations… A perpetual conversation passing support and wisdom from generation to generation, and a future for the AGES.
The Vision, In Our Own Words.
See what Legacy Athletic Fund is building and why it matters — from the people who lived the origin story.
A Story Worth Telling.
It started with a player yelling in a hotel lobby — not AT John Davis, but TO him. That moment sparked a two-year journey that became Legacy Athletic Fund.
The Pro Cycle exists because that player deserved better. Every player who falls through the gap deserves better. LAF is closing it.
Be Part of the SolutionThe Names Behind LAF
Are Not Endorsers. They Are Validators.
Every advisor attached to Legacy Athletic Fund has seen the gap firsthand — from the field, the sidelines, and the front office. Their involvement is not ceremonial.
Operators. Veterans. Coaches.
People Who Have Done Hard Things.
The LAF leadership team brings 43 combined years of military service, coaching, athletics, and program development.
The Infrastructure Is Already
Taking Shape.
LAF has not waited for funding to begin building the operational backbone of the Pro Cycle. Key partnerships are in active development right now.
Service Does Not End
When the Uniform
Comes Off.
Legacy Athletic Fund was built by veterans. Three members of the team — John Davis (US Army, 23 years), Jody Pounds (US Navy, 20 years), and JJ Coyne (US Navy, 25 years) — bring a combined 68 years of military service to this mission. They understand that real development is about discipline, character, and sacrifice.
